Appalachian Trail - Davenport Gap, NC to Hot Springs, NC

Day 0 - April 29, 2017

I drove into Hot Spring and met my parents who came up to visit. We rented a two bedroom inn room at Spring Creek Tavern and Inn downtown. We had dinner at the diner downstairs along the river.

It was great to hang out with them for a few hours - I don't get to see them that often.

Day 1 - April 30, 2017

My folks drove me down to Davenport Gap in the morning and I headed north.

I am still looking for my notes on this trip so I don't have much in the way of details. My hike ended on May 2nd as I reached Hot Springs.

But I did intend to get a shuttle up to Devils Fork after I got to Hot Springs and hike south - but I didn't feel great so I bailed on the 2nd part of this hike.
